How soon can you fly after am appendectomy ?

My mom just had her appendix taken out laproscopicly and we were scheduled to fly on Saturday afternoon, a one hour flight. The on Sunday we would be leaving to go on a cruise. She has a very high threshold of pain. (she has been walking around all day on her appendix). Do you think it would be safe to go?
