Post-Operation Fever Question?

There's still a chance, and absolutely you should see your surgeon. He may want some blood tests to determine if in fact you do have an infection. Ask him if having "blood cultures" done are necessary depending on his response to the fever. 98.6 is still high for some people... ask yourself what your normal temperature is usually at and go from there, is 98.6 still higher than your used to? If yes, you could have an infection and with you just having surgery it's best for you to be cautious.
