hi my husband was taken ill, and taken into hospital, he went in first time and they sent him home with pain killers, saying it was renal colic, he was still in agony when we got home so i had to call him an ambulance then at the hospital the docs said it was his appendix so they did an emergency appendectomy. after a stay in hospital (over night) he was sent home, and after the annectetic had worn off the pain was back. So again we were in hospital, and after an MRI scan it showed he had kidney stones. And It turns out that the histology of the appendix was normal.So if they had done the MRI scan sooner he wouild still have an appendix and not gone through the surgery.
