54yrs old prior appendectomy 20 yrs ago, sneezed very hard , felt sharp pain , now bruising has occured 3 days?

no npain at present time, hurts when coughing, area to the side of scar towards the back,sometimes sharpn pinching pain there past couple months,have had a lot of lower stomach aches as of late, no constipation ,loss of appetite, no fever, abd, seemes slightly more swollen than other side, no other symptoms.Could this be a hernia and how serious is it?
