Laprascopic appendectomy?

I went to the surgeon today (dr. sent me because of pain in my lower right side) and I found out I have to get my appendix out laparascopically. I got my gall blaldder out last year this way, and it was like this. Just wanted to know more stuff about it before i get it... like how many insicions are there?
