What's so great about "A Clockwork Orange"?

I dont know about a 'positive splash", but its certainly had a lot of attention.audiences had never seen anything like it. It has many themes running through it that were relevant at the time. Kubrick, as with all of his films, had "something to say" and created a style which has inspired many films since. It was treated and created like a work of art, wether you love it or hate it, its a well crafted and powerfull film. check out his other films and it amay give you a better insight into the sort of films Kubrick was making. I reccomend the Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut.
