Can your appendix burst AFTER an appendectomy.?

Well, what would likely happen is that they would remove all of the appendix, but that the infection that was in the appendix had already spread to their intestines, so removal of the appendix didn't get out all of the infection. They would then have an infection and would need to take antibiotics to treat it.
